Registration
7:30am - Noon
Greet clients. Prepare paperwork and crate tag. Phone recalls.
Weigh-In
7:30am - Noon
Weigh animal and note name and crate # on collar, crate animal and attach cage tag to cage door. Some lifting required.

Cashier
7:30am - Noon
Finalize paperwork, collect payment (cash, check or credit card), complete medicine envelope. Put all in plastic cover.
Autoclave
9:30am - 4:00pm
Clean and sterilize surgical equipment and assemble surgical packs. Standing required.
Dog Recovery
8:30am - 1:00pm
Assist dogs in recovery, remove trach tube, check incision, clean up occasional messes. Trim nails and clean ear if time permits. Transfer dog to its crate. Must be able to get up and down from floor position and assist with lifting.
Cat Recovery
1:00pm - 4:00pm
Assist cats in recovery, eye drops, check incision, check paperwork and clean up occasional messes. Trim nails and clean ears if time permits. Transfer cat to its crate. Standing required.
Food Prep
11:30am - 1:00pm
Food is donated by volunteers. Setup lunch and clean up kitchen. If time permits, assist wherever needed.
Monitor
9:00am - 4:00pm
Oversee condition of dogs/cats after surgery when they are returned to their cage.
Discharge
Noon - 4:00pm
Greet clients picking up their dog/cat. Review post operative guidelines and give client paperwork and pain meds. Remove the pet’s paper collar. Remove clasp from crate, drop paperwork at front desk and clean crate.
Clean Up
3:00pm - 5:30pm
Vacuum, mop, clean surfaces, empty trash cans, fill up supplies, etc.
